At Village Infants we recognise the importance of strong relationships with parents and strive to develop these.
Parents are encouraged to play an active role in their child's education. This could be by supporting the school through voluntary work, helping on trips or attending open evenings and assemblies. It may simply be by encouraging their child at home by taking an active interest in their child's school life and learning.
The Headteacher is usually available at the start of the day to deal with any issues which parents may wish to discuss. Teachers are happy to chat to parents at the end of the day or will make a more formal appointment for parents where appropriate.
We have consultation evenings every term and expect parents to attend these to discuss their child's progress.
Education is a preparation for life and we recognise the important role we as adults play in developing citizenship skills.
The Home School Partnership Agreement sets out expectations of both the school and the parents.
